Is it Intelligent?

I am working on updating my family website (www.cloudnine.com) to include my updated resume, some of Alayna's artwork, and occasional bits of thought, philosophy, and so forth.

Following the wisdom and leadership of my elder brother ("Watch this space"), here is another teaser.

Constructed Mind Paradigm: I am comtemplating and discoursing on the question identified in the title of this post. In specific, what does it mean to create intelligence using human artifice (e.g. computers)? What are the social implications of computer based intelligence? Does owning an intelligent computer constitute Slavery? How do we define, measure, test, and interact with a "Constructed Mind"?

I'll post the link to this site ("Constructed Mind Paradigm") within the next 30 days, but first I need to get some additional substance into the site.

EXCERPT: The purpose of this site is to inititate discussion on the concept of a truly intelligent Mind created by human artifice using silicon or other mechanistic means. Specifically, we EXCLUDE any mind constructed primarily of organic material that is derived from the Human genotype.
